Chris Maxon is a professional runner for the Union Athletics Club out of Boulder, Colorado, a former NCAA Division 1 athlete at Ole Miss, and former NAIA All-American at Indiana Wesleyan University. With over a decade of competitive experience from Cross country and track, all the way out to the roads, you won’t find many more with the experience to guide you through your running journey. With a degree in Exercise Science, Chris blends his academic knowledge and his elite-level athletic performance to guide and structure training.
As a coach, Chris specializes in a holistic training approach for athletes of all levels – from beginners aiming to finish their first 5k to the sub-elite runners chasing their PBs. His coaching philosophy emphasizes a science-backed and sustainable approach to training. Whether you’re chasing speed, strength, or simply structured training, Chris provides custom programming, accountability, and support to help you reach your goals.

Caleb Joy is the current Head Cross Country Coach and Distance Track Coach at his alma mater, Lafayette High School in Lexington, Kentucky. Still, in his very young coaching career, Coach Joy has reached unprecedented heights for high school distance in Kentucky. In just four years, Coach Joy led a 20th-place boys' team in 2021 to its first State XC Championship in 2024. In just his past two years alone (2023-2024), Coach Joy has coached 6 state champions between Track and cross country, 11 regional champions, and 34 school record holders. Coach Joy’s highly talented runners have accumulated into 14 collegiate runners at all levels (D1, D2, D3, and NAIA) . Coach Joy graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University in December 2019 and was a 2020 NAIA Marathon National Qualifier that was canceled due to the global pandemic. In his personal life, Coach Joy is a married man, father to a 3-year-old son, and an aspiring ultra-marathon runner who has already conquered the distances of the 50k and 52.4 miles on the track. Coach Joy believes in the philosophy of creating “aerobic monsters” with the ability to run competitively at the wide range from 800m to 5000m. Coach Joy specializes in racing/ training psychology with mental toughness to reach your full potential.
